Anna Ntountounaki stood out once again in a big sporting event and won two medals at the European Short-Course Swimming Championships in Kazan!
On Saturday, Ntountounaki, member of bwin’s “Team Future”, competed in her first final in the 100-meter butterfly, won the silver medal and broke her own Greek national record for the sixth time! She finished in 56.35, 6 centiseconds faster than her previous record, achieved in Glasgow in 2019.
A day later, the 26-year-old athlete captured her second medal, as she finished third in the final in the 50-meter butterfly. She broke her own Panhellenic record for the second time in the Championships, with a time of 25.09, which is faster almost by a second than the previous one!
During 2021, Ntountounaki also won the gold medal in the 100-meter butterfly last May at the European Championships in Budapest. In other words, this year proved to be very successful for her. Her hard work paid off, as she managed to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, finishing in 9th place. Her reaction after that semifinal in Japan was really emotional, but she didn’t give up and found inner strength to celebrate three medals in total since the beginning of the year!
With the support of bwin, the Greek champion is preparing for the challenges ahead, sets her goals for 2022 and keeps training every day, knowing she has all the help she needs from the top betting brand!
