Bwin was the title sponsor of “International Thessaloniki Marathon – bwin”, for the second year in a row, and the grand sponsor of the “International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon”, as well.
On Sunday, the streets of Thessaloniki were full of smiles and people ready to run, in a very special day for the city! The organizers applied all the safety and hygiene measures for protection against Covid-19, so that the “International Thessaloniki Marathon – bwin” and the “International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon” would be finally back, ladling out hope to the city. The excitement was evident, since Thessaloniki went a year without its favorite running events, due to the pandemic.
Bwin, which has been supporting all the major sporting events in the country over the past years, had a dynamic presence in both Marathons. The betting leader brand gifted prizes to all participants, while “bwin Running Team” took part in the race with a big number of runners. The presenter Giorgos Lentzas and five champions of the program “Team Future: Bwin supports the Next Generation of Olympic Athletes” were among them.
Odysseas Mouzenidis, Elina Tzengko, Anastasia Dragomirova, Sofia Kessidi and Anastasios Latifllari run with bwin’s uniform and found themselves among the rest of the participants, giving the chance to people to meet them and learn about their achievements. Meanwhile, the sounds of the band “Batala Salonica” accompanied and encouraged the runners during both races!
“We are really happy to be in Thessaloniki once again for these two great sporting events, which bwin proudly supports. The smiles of people and the fact that they can run again, experiencing the benefits of physical activity are the best rewards for us. We will continue to support the major sporting events in our country and participate dynamically in all of them, while insisting to provide the safety and all the needed hygiene measures against Covid-19”, stated Ioanna Beriou, bwin’s Corporate Communication Director.
Bwin continues to support sports in Greece and the development of major running events, not only in Thessaloniki but all over the country.
