Celebrating its 50th anniversary, ELEPAP inaugurated the brand new accessible playground in Thessaloniki.
Βwin’s support brought to life a very important project in Thessaloniki, making a dream come true for everyone involved. At the playground of ELEPAP in Thessaloniki, children between the ages 3-10 will be able to play on a daily basis. They can safely use a crib, a seesaw, a mini-carousel or a slide. Kids with disabilities can enjoy playing without any obstacles or discrimination. The choice of equipment and the design of the playground was made by therapists and scientists in a way that serves the needs and preferences of each child.
Lila Bakatselou, president of ELEPAP’s Thessaloniki department, had the honor of cutting the ribbon alongside Ioanna Beriou, Corporate Communications Director of bwin, at an emotional ceremony. Mrs. Bakatselou expressed her enthusiasm and was very emotional during her speech. She thanked bwin for its valuable contribution and support and stressed that this project proves that the power of giving back to society is still pretty strong. “This accessible playground will have a big impact on the educational and therapeutic development of the children and will give them lots of moments of joy”, she said.
“Every child should have the inalienable right to be able to enjoy playing. Both the accessible playground in Thessaloniki and the four (4) sensory processing rooms prove the real support that bwin is showing for the valuable work of ELEPAP”, added Mrs Ioanna Beriou.
