The establishment of the pilot department for children with disabilities and neurodevelopmental disorders has began with the support of the Region of Western Greece and has been completed thank to bwin’s practical contribution. It was delivered on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at a moving event.
Through sensory integration, children acquire sensory experiences that encourage movement, communication, expression, exploration and playing. They lead to relaxation, pleasure and stimulation of the sensory organs, while also helping to develop social, cognitive, and motor-functional abilities.
The President of Rehabilitation for the Disabled (ELEPAP) Ms. Labrini Kolovou, said: “We are very grateful to bwin for the support and I must highlight the fact that the aim of ELEPAP since its creation is to provide innovative, high quality integrated services within a safe and familiar environment for children and their families.”
For his part, the CSR & PR Manager of bwin, Konstantinos Efremidis, said: “We are very pleased to see that the sensory integration room is ready to be used by the children. However, our “trip” does not end here. After Athens, Thessaloniki and Volos, we are returning to the Macedonian capital and shortly before Christmas we will inaugurate the pilot playground for the…. brave children. Congratulations to the whole team of ELEPAP for the great work to the Greek society.”
