Since 2003 Cerebral Palsy Greece – Open Door established the guesthouse and bwin, through its Corporate social responsibility program “bwincares”, helps with its day-to-day operations.
The program aims to provide support, relief and entertainment to children and adults, as well as to provide relief to their families. Bwin supported the project from October until December 2018.
Cerebral Palsy Greece was founded in 1972 with the purpose of providing care for people suffering from cerebral palsy. CPG is a leader in the field of disability in Greece, offering a wide array of services to over 240 persons of all ages, for free, on a daily basis—and to more than 4,000 families in total since its inception.
CPG never isolated itself, nor the people in its care. On the contrary, it has sought to raise the barriers and build the bridges that will ensure that disabled people are incorporated into the normal society of their fellow-men and women.
Cerebral Palsy Greece aims at the systematic provision of services to children and adults with cerebral palsy and ongoing support to their families; the eradication of discrimination of people with cerebral palsy; the training and further education of specialized staff dealing with disability; the raising of public awareness on all related issues; the encouragement of scientific research, particularly with regards to prevention; and the promotion of legislative and government measures in favor of disabled people.
