“Médecins du Monde” are taking initiatives to offer medical and psychological support to residents of the areas devastated by wildfires. Bwin, once more, supports their task, starting from Limni in Evoia, which was ravaged by the conflagration.
Bwin immediately decided to adjust its social responsibility strategy in order to support such actions and help the local communities by any means possible. The first group of volunteers will seek to recognize the needs of fire victims and as soon as it’s safe, they will depart to offer assistance.
At the same time, in cooperation with the Medical School of Athens and its Postgraduate Program, small groups of doctors are gathered and will try to respond quickly to offer medical support. Social workers will record effectively the needs of the residents of areas affected by fire, so that bwin and “Médecins du Monde” can adjust their initiatives and offer the much-needed help.
Bwin’s multilevel actions will continue with the aim of helping as more people, who are now homeless, as possible. Everyone’s wish is that this will be the last time they will need help…
Bwin’s initiatives, part of its corporate social responsibility program, are in alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN, thus contributing to a better and more sustainable future for all until 2030.
