True to its vision for a better society, bwin is vigorously continuing the reconstruction of new sports facilities in 5 cities. Kiato is our first stop for 2022!

The journey began in 2020 and in two years, bwin has taken hundreds of children under its wings. There are several surprises within 2022, and of course many of them are expected also in the future with our next steps. Throughout this progression, the main message has been common: all children and young people should have access to sport facilities and stand as equals before the Sporting Ideal.

bwin’s aim, in a few words, has been for these stadiums to reappear in the communities, modern, safe, and functional, and we believe that the goal has been reached!

Same as in the other cities, the beginning for a better everyday life for the young pupils of Kiato has been set, thanks to the persistence and passion of everyone involved and also thanks to the collaboration of the “Together for Children” (TFC) Association.

More specifically, the basketball-volleyball court at Kiato 1st Primary School was completely reconstructed. A special safe carpet, which is used in professional facilities, was laid on the court. Additional works were completed, so that the above courts become usable (lines were created for the two sports and the necessary equipment was installed).

The surprise for the children who returned from their Easter holidays was huge. The new court impressed the students who were particularly joyful. The children’s laughter was the greatest reward for the people of bwin and the “Together for Children” (TFC) Association, whose cooperation already counts dozens of projects.

Ioanna Beriou, Director of Corporate Communications, said on behalf of bwin: “We are proud to have completed a fully renovated stadium for the children of Kiato. Not only the students of the Primary School but also of the entire area of Kiato, will now be able to enjoy these facilities of professional specifications. We aspire to deliver stadiums full of life, giving young people the chance to play safely and at the same time dream freely.

The president of the “Together for Children” (TFC) Association, Alexandra Martinou, said: “Devoted to our vision to offer equal opportunities to all children, we deliver a completely reconstructed basketball-volleyball court to the 1st Primary School of Kiato. Thanks to the valuable support of bwin, the sports area is safe and fully functional for the 180 children who attend the school. Sporting and playing are their basic needs and we give all our efforts on that. bwin has been our valuable companion throughout this journey purpose as together we have reconstructed more than 1,800 sq.m. of sport courts.”

The Director of the 1st Primary School of Kiato, Andreas Karvountzis, said: “On behalf of all colleagues, we sincerely thank you for the work you did and for the result that changed the image of our school. The parents are impressed and the kids can’t wait to get in! our sincere thank you to “Together for Children” (TFC) Association and to bwin for their kind offer!”
Within the framework of the award-winning and multi-year cooperation between the “Together for Children” (TFC) Association and the leading betting brand, dozens of projects of decisive importance have been implemented and thousands of children and their families have been supported.”

bwin’s initiatives, part of its corporate social responsibility program, are in alignment with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN until 2030 to create a more sustainable future. This initiative is part of Goal No. 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities and Goal No. 17: Partnerships For The Goals.
