Bwin volunteers contributed to the reduction of food waste, as part of “World Volunteers Day”.
Bwin volunteers joined forces with the non-profit organization NGO “Boroume” and, under the “No portion of food should be wasted” campaign, were present at the open market of Panormou street in Athens to celebrate “World Volunteers’ Day”.
The team of volunteers managed to collect more than 340 kg of fresh fruit and vegetables in just a few hours. The products were offered to the Hospice for Neuro-disability. Bwin volunteers shared a strong message: “Reduce environmental burden and increase food supply to people in need through volunteering”.
It is worth noting that in 2019 (January – October) over 126,900 kg of fresh fruit and vegetables were offered to “We Can” organization by 29 different partnering open markets through the program “We Can in the Farmer’s Market”.
Bwin supports the work of NGO “Boroume” as an integral part of its corporate social responsibility strategy.
