Bwin gained another important distinction for its social footprint, based on the CRI Pass evaluation system by the Corporate Responsibility Institute.
CRI Pass is an assessment tool in the field of sustainable development and its awards are based on evaluation of the strategic approach, the actions and the results achieved by any company in four major sectors: Society, Environment, Employees and Economy. It’s divided into five sections, each of which has a different weighting factor on the overall score: (1) Corporate Commitment, (2) Commitment in Implementation, (3) Management, (4) Performance and Impact.
The award was presented to bwin during a special online event, which took place on Wednesday 30 June 2021 and was based on the CRI Pass and CR Index grading.
“Three years ago we started our CSR program with small, but steady, steps and today we see the recognition of our work. This distinction comes as a reward for our efforts for an essential social responsibility program, which will cover the daily needs of people, who are part of the social groups, benefiting from our various programs. As our initiatives are part of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the UN, we are fully committed to contributing to a more sustainable future until 2030”, stated Ioanna Beriou, Director of Sponsorships, Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Affairs, on behalf of bwin.
What’s the CRI Pass
The Corporate Responsibility Institute (CRI) in collaboration with independent experts created the CRI Pass. The aim is to further consolidate the CSR in Greece according to international standards and following the best practices. It’s a tool that identifies and awards companies, either Small and medium-sized enterprises or Multinational, and enables them to take the first step into Corporate Responsibility, benefiting from its advantages.
