Sofia Kessidi learned to be always optimistic, no matter how hard things get. With bwin on her side, she is ready to throw the disc even further!
Born to go over the limits!
An obstacle can be a steppingstone towards improvement and Sofia Kessidi knows since her childhood that “one step at a time” is the best way to go. She was born in 2002 and athletics blew her away. Her journey as discus thrower is full of adventures, as well as struggles against the difficulties of everyday life.
A dreamer with willpower!
Sofia never rests! She always dreams big and gives her all to reach the top. She did it in 2018, when she was crowned gold champion in Morocco ISF Summer Gymnasiade. At the age of 18, she has proven that she is a champion on and off the field. In 2018 she was 6th at the Youth Olympic Games, but an injury kept her away from the fields for a while. A tiny obstacle for an athlete with a strong willpower. After a month of hard work, she finished third in Women Panhellenic Championship and SEGAS bestowed upon her the “Best Female Athlete” award.
Dreams never stop
“I would like to inform you that our generation is full of talent. I am not only referring to my club. There are some remarkable athletes who can achieve great things in sports and beyond. But we need support. If so, be prepared to see great things from us. Dreams never stop”, emphasizes the 18-year-old Kentavros’ athlete, who has an personal record of 49.47m in discus!
With bwin on her side!
Sofia is one of the new members of the bwin’s sponsoring program “Team Future”. Competitiveness, ambitions and dynamic compose a powerful mix which push her to the podium, while they are also a big part of bwin’s philosophy.
