Konstantinos was born in Trikala in 1998. His speed shone through at a young age, but he had chosen to play football until the age of 16. He started with track and field in the last 3 years.
Better later than never
His star shone bright in the Greek classic sports from his very first day on the track and field. He may have had a late start, but he managed to cover lost ground. His decision to switch sports was when he started winning at the school championships and his coach distinguished his inclination and suggested that he look at getting involved with track and field professionally. Even before four years had passed from his involvement in the sport, he managed to become the first Greek athlete, after 19 years, to compete in the men’s 60m European final finishing in 5th place.
With his eye on the podium
Konstantinos’ goal is to qualify for the European Athletics U23 Championships, the European Team Championships and then the 2020 World Indoor Championships.
With bwin’s favorable ambience
Konstantinos receives financial sponsoring which cover his travel expenses at the games and at the training camps. In addition, he buys whatever equipment he needs in order to train appropriately.
